  • This product comes to 18mm in total thickness. As this product is so thick it will help insulate your home.
 
  • This product has a 4-sided v-groove which helps define the width and length of each individual board. This helps give the laminate a more natural look, and makes it increasingly hard for people to tell the difference between laminate and solid wood flooring.
  • This product should be stored in the room it is being fitted in 7 days prior to installation and stored inside the packaging to give the wood time to acclimatize. Failure to do this could lead to future problems due to expansion and contraction of the wood.
  • BCD Grade is also known as a rustic grade. A rustic grade contains knots, sapwood and filler use. The degree of these features vary throughout ever product as it is natural. If you prefer cleaner looking products with little or no filler use or colour variations alternative products with AB Grading or Prime grading are available to purchase on our website.
  • This product is not suitable for use in a bathroom area. This is because the water use in the bathroom could end up damaging the floor. Moisture getting into the joints will lead to swelling and bowing of the boards causing them to lift up from your subfloor.
  • The planks within each pack of this floor will vary in length.
  • This floor can be installed by secret nailing it to the subfloor using a lost head nail and nailing the boards through above the tongue at a 45 degree angle.
  • This product is put together via a 'tongue and groove' system. This is where the tongue of one part of the board fits into the groove along the edge of another board.
  • This product is compatible with underfloor heating. Allowing you to have a warm underfoot feel in the comfort of your own home. It is extremely important that you check with your underfloor heating system provider this type of product is compatible. You will also need to ensure that at no point the system temperature allows the surface temperature of the flooring to exceed 27 Degrees Celsius or you may experience warping, cracking, bowing or excess drying out of the product. It is also extremely important that the installation is separated by door bars in any areas over 30m2 otherwise a polymer adhesive may be advised. Before laying any product we recommend you consult a professional fitter.

Engineered and Solid Wood Oiled Finish Care and Maintenance

Timeless 18/5mm x 150mm Oak Smoked Brushed and White Oiled is 18mm thick with a 5mm solid oak top layer that may be sanded and resealed up to 3 times during the lifespan of the product.

The large 1.98 pack size contains a number of random length boards ranging from 310mm to 1200mm, each 150mm wide.

The engineered board has a 3 ply construction which makes it an extremely durable and resilient product.

All 4 sides of each plank have a milled bevelled edge which defines both the width and random length of each plank across your elegant floor.

A floor with the popular brushed finish is when the planks have been brushed with a steel comb to highlight the grain of the wood resulting in an authentic textured appearance. This floor is impregnated with an Oil Wax coating which retains the natural character of the wood while also increasing its durability.

All natural flooring products will contain a mixture of prime quality boards (no knotting), a proportion of 'first sort' (knots with filler, grain and colour variation) and 'second sort' (oak with larger knots, grain and strong colour variation). As solid and engineered wood flooring are natural products some boards may display heavy grain markings and figuring, wider colour variations and frequent knots of varying sizes and splits in which filler may be used.

This product is treated with a natural oil during the manufacturing process. We highly recommend that once fitted the product is treated with Osmo Polyx-Oil to aid in resistance to water and dirt. It is vital this process is carried out to provide a protective wax and oil barrier and maintain the integrity of the product throughout the home.

In particular, areas of high traffic and/or areas where spillages and staining may occur such as the living room, hallway dining room and kitchen should undergo this process as soon as installation occurs and it is recommended the oil is applied every 18-24 months thereafter.

Delivery Information

Deliveries are made on Monday - Friday between 8am to 6:30pm (Saturday between 8am- 2pm).

On the day of delivery, United Pallet Network will off-load the pallet using a tail-lift and hand operated pallet trolley.  The driver will ensure that the pallet is left in a safe place on the kerb or driveway. Please ensure you make the necessary arrangements to transport the goods into the property. 

Beading orders will be delivered by Tuffnells.

99% of our orders are delivered in perfect condition but sometimes things can go wrong in transit.

You have 15 minutes to check your goods, if you do notice any type of damage please ensure you record this on the driver’s delivery docket. We cannot accept claims for damage unless it is recorded on the delivery docket. Please also take the time to review our T&C’s.

Damage to look out for is ripped packaging, corners of the boxes, product arriving wet, and impact damage.

When your order arrives, the name on the box might be different from what you have ordered. Our suppliers don’t like us selling their flooring at such low prices so we change the name.

If a delivery is refused for any reason other than damaged goods you will be liable for the full cost of delivery and return. Re-delivery charges are incurred for failed delivery attempts.

Under no circumstances will goods be left unsigned for. 

Returns and Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your order before they have been dispatched, we will refund you the full invoice amount within 2 working days.

In the case that you do wish to return your order, you have up to 14 days to cancel on receipt of delivery, in order to receive a full refund less delivery charges. The product should be returned no later than 14 days after you have cancelled.

To cancel your order you must inform us by email, referencing the order number and stating the reason why you are cancelling it. Email customerservice@discountflooringdepot.co.uk.

It is your responsibility to arrange the items to be returned to our warehousing facility. If would wish for us to arrange collection via our courier UPN there would be an additional charge of £75.

Refunds will be issued within 5 working days of the return.

Before Returning:

• Email our customer service team stating your order number and the reason for cancelling. Email customerservice@discountflooringdepot.co.uk.

• Please ensure all products being returned are well protected before sending, as any costs for damaged goods will be taken from the refund total.

• Products must be returned in original unopened packaging.

• Ensure goods are returned on a pallet. This will minimise damages.

Manufacturing fault:

The quickest way for us to resolve a manufacturing fault complaint is for you to follow the below steps.

• Email the form with detailed photos of the fault to customerservice@discountflooringdepot.co.uk.

• This information will be sent to the manufacturer to review.

Genuine manufacturing faults will be replaced and delivery and return costs will be refunded.

If you return a product due to installation problems and we are able to install it back at our warehouse facility, we will have no choice but to send you the product back at your expense.  We highly recommend your installer reads and fully understands the installation guide on the product prior to installation.

Payment

The buyer of the goods must make payment in full to the seller before the goods will be dispatched. Partial payment for goods or services will not be accepted.   

Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro. We do not accept cheques.

All payments will be processed via Sagepay unless otherwise stated.

The personal data collected whilst processing a payment will be used in full compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with the published Privacy Policy.

Payments are processed at the time of order and will be deducted from your nominated payment account, if insufficient funds are available for the order to be processed your payment will be automatically declined.

We will not be liable for any additional card, bank processing fees or charges (such as refund charges or overdraft facilities or similar) incurred as a result of ordering any goods and services from us.
