If you are planning a new bathroom or renovating an existing one, then there is no better choice than bathroom laminate flooring. With its natural water repellence, ease of fit and choice of colours and finishes, laminate wins hands down. Often bathrooms are under ventilated and can suffer from high humidity. In these cases and for many other reasons such as warping and rotting, wooden floors can be problematic. You only really see them in very old country houses, and even then, in the most of the upmarket ones and in posh hotels they have installed tiles. Bathroom laminate is a great alternative!
One of the main reasons for installing laminate flooring in a bathroom is the price. It is far cheaper to buy laminate than expensive tiles. When it come to laying laminate in a bathroom it is also a much easier job. There is no adhesive, cement or grouting to think about. It is also great for wet rooms, toilets and changing rooms, in fact any place where water or moisture is going to be a problem.
When you are buying the bath or Jacuzzi, sink and toilet, have in mind what colour and finish of bathroom laminate flooring you would like to complement them with. The bath (and sink) is going to slop all over the floor so it might be a good idea to check out our Water Resistant Ranges first. Then speak with a specialist installer, who will be able to quote you for doing the job properly.
We have seen cases where they have installed laminate to the lower part of the walls as well as the floor just so the finished job can be more sealed. Always use a good underlay and make sure that the subfloor is stable before laying.
