This depends on what look you are going for. Black laminate flooring can look incredibly stylish as long a the room it is laid in follows the same colour theme. Monochrome is a striking the look, the combination of black against white could not be more of a contrast. The addition of black laminate as well makes for a striking combination, so our advise is to use with care where you want to make statement.
There is no doubt that introducing darker colours and materials into a room will affect the amount of reflected light. However, many of our black laminate flooring options have a sheen to them which will help disperse some light around the room. It's only really dull black that absorbs the most light. Used in the right location it provides a proper statement and goes surprisingly well with other colours, from tan leather to shocking pink!
Obviously it is harder to obscure rubbish dropped onto black laminate flooring so it's important to brush and mop regularly. Black show darker marks, so scuffs and stains are not as visible.
