Parquet (often spelt 'parquay') laminate comes in the traditional chevron pattern of herringbone and is a great alternative to laying the real wood. Herringbone laminate flooring is much more accessible and affordable than the real thing. It is strong, durable and, scuff resistant, anti-slip and is naturally resistant to water, making it suitable for every room. Herringbone laminate flooring is available in a large range of colours and shades. You could opt for a popular grey to add a modern twist to this classic style. Or, stick to traditional roots and choose a natural finish.

Herringbone laminate flooring needs to be laid just like any other parquet flooring, in a zig zag or v-shaped pattern. The packs comes with instructions on how to fit the boards together. It is done in a chevron pattern with one board (board A) slotting into another (board B). Some of the packs have just one board which uses a simpler method of fitting. While you can do this yourself, we would recommend getting a professional fitter to do this for you. They have all the right equipment and can also lay the right kind of underlay for you.
